This one-day, onsite workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those wishing to refresh skills and improve technique. Manual dexterity is required for this class.
Workshop Detail
Make a slim stained glass panel which can be displayed in the garden border. Using a simple template cut coloured glass and lead together with a zinc and steel frame.Working from a selection of prepared designs you will choose from a range of semi opaque and transparent glasses to cut the shapes for the panel. We will then use lead to build the panel and frame it with zinc which is reinforced with a steel bar for additional strength. The panel is soldered and cemented and the final clean is done the next day at home. There will be demonstrations of each technique and individual guidance.

Materials are not included in your course fee. Materials are not included in your course fee. The tutor will provide all the materials and tools you need to make your panel.
The cost of making one garden panel is £45. This is payable to the tutor at the end of the day and card payments are welcome

We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.
