Club details
Add a little flourish to your lives with our Flourishing Club! Your chance to enjoy some time exploring the wonderful world of the pointed pen with like-minded people from around the world. Started in early 2023, we meet up once a month for some glorious offhand flourishing with the wonderful Heather Victoria Held.
In this special December edition, we'll spend some time being immersed in days gone by as we create a Nostalgic Noel design together. We will explore several techniques to build tone and depth in this delightful Victorian rocking horse. We will use pointed pen etching, sepia grisaille, watercolour pencil and gilding in this flourish. Bring a sense of play and wonder with you as we enjoy this session together.
Flourishing Club isn’t a traditional class; these sessions are a little less formal and a little more sociable in feel. We want to create something really special; a group that flourishes together, in every sense. An opportunity to switch off from the real world for a while and practice those beautiful skills.
The class will be accompanied by photographs that you can follow on with again in your own time. Our club will inspire you to continue with your own flourishing journey, offering opportunities to practice the skills you have learnt in our more traditional classes.
Places are limited and, to gain the most from the experience, we hope that you will all join us live online wherever possible. For those times when life gets in the way, and you can't make it live, rest assured that there will be the option to watch the recording.

All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online class page. Helpful and easy to use, these private pages enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – before, during, and after class.
Heather will offer personal feedback for any work submitted via the class page within thirty days of the class ending. The link to access the page will be shared via email in the days leading up to the class.
We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than one week in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
