This one-day, onsite workshop is suitable for those with at least basic experience using their sewing machine. The tutor will not have time to run over sewing machine basics.
Workshop Details
On this exciting, one-day workshop you will learn the techniques to make a flared wrap skirt which is cut directly on the fabric. With this method there is no need to make a paper pattern to cut a skirt. You will learn how to finish the garment with a bias binding hem, interlined waistband and a pair of strings to tie the skirt around the waist.
Depending on your sewing skills level, you will be able to finish (or almost finish) the garment sample to use as reference for future projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see different styles of flared wrap skirts to use as inspiration and discuss ideas that you have for your own design. At the end of the day, you will take home the sample that you made and a detailed easy to follow handout with images plus instructions explaining step by step instructions on how to cut the skirt.

Materials
Materials are not included in the workshop fee. Materials are not included in the course fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor at the cost of approximately £15 payable to the tutor during the course. The tutor may not have the facilities to take card payments for materials. Please remember to bring cash or your chequer book.
