This two-day, onsite workshop is designed for a range of abilities from complete beginner to improver
Workshop Details
Les Fauves (The Wild Beasts) is the name given to some early 19th century artists, because their paintings were surprisingly colourful. This workshop is for all of you who would like to paint expressively with bright and bold colours.
We will start by exploring the exciting nature of colours with coloured pencils. Then, using acrylic paints, we shall copy one of the original Fauve painters (possibly Henri Matisse, Andre Derain or Maurice Vlaminck) in order to understand the purpose and enthusiasm of this movement. Thus inspired, the workshop continues by applying our new-found knowledge to painting landscapes in this way
Skills/Techniques Covered
Materials
Materials are not included in the course fee. Richard will supply all materials required at a small cost of no more then £5.00 per person……. probably less.
Please Bring With You
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.
