This one-day, onsite illustration workshop is designed for almost all levels, including complete beginners. Don't worry - you will be guided through the techniques at your own pace!
Workshop Detail
The aim of this one-day workshop is to help teach you how to look at and illustrate British wildlife through the medium of pencil drawing. Wildlife illustration, by definition, has a real purpose, and that purpose is to draw attention to something in great detail, to capture its beauty, or to get a message across. Wildlife illustration goes far back, beyond the time of photography. Illustration was an accurate means to capture the details of a species and in a format to share knowledge with others. I can help teach you how to look at the world with greater accuracy, and impart some techniques, tools and tips to help you become a better illustrator.
Beautiful photo-real pencil drawings of British wildlife can engage us all, these illustrations can invoke an emotive reaction or help us look at the subject matter differently. Illustration is often mistaken for art, although as illustrators, we use similar techniques as artists to articulate our subject matter, illustration should be an accurate representation of the subject.
