This four-part online
LivePlus™ series is designed for beginners and people with experience of the medium.

Workshop details
This four-part series will show you how to draw animals with graphite pencil. During the workshop demonstrations you will be shown how to use the versatile medium of graphite to draw fish, mammals and birds. Using photos as reference you will be shown how to trace down and then how to achieve the realistic textures with different shading techniques. Each week will be a different animal and will include how to draw scales, fur and feathers.

Specific skills you will learn at the workshop:
  • tracing down
  • shading
  • smudging
  • lifting with an eraser
  • how to use different grades of pencil

Equipment & materials list
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below.  This list is for guidance only - you can improvise and source your own materials, either in advance or once you have seen the LivePlus™ workshop, giving you maximum flexibility to choose how you would like to approach this craft.

You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching the live demonstration – the demo session is a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
