This LivePlus™ online acrylic painting workshop is ideal for beginners and those who have previously worked with the medium.
Workshop details
This is a two-part workshop that will show you how to paint an impressionist style spring landscape with acrylics. The painting will be in two parts, spread over the two weeks. You will be using a photo as reference, you will be shown how to mix the colours of Spring and how to paint loose and quick acrylic paintings with swift, impressionistic brush strokes.

Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed below. This list is for guidance only - you can improvise and source your own materials, either in advance or once you have seen the LivePlus™ workshop, giving you maximum flexibility to choose how you would like to approach this craft.
You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching the live demonstration – the demo session is a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.

- texturing with the brush
- using a palette knife
- glazing with transparent colours

Materials
- A4 tear-off palette or a few paper plates
- A size 12 round acrylic painting brush
- A size 4 flat or filbert brush
- A size 8 flat or filbert brush
- Daler Rowney System 3 paint (or an equivalent make such as Winsor Newton) 75ml tubes, one each of the following colours: Ultramarine Blue, Pthalo Blue (optional), Cadmium Yellow, Burnt Sienna or Burnt Umber, Crimson and Titanium White
- A3 Daler Rowney System 3 acrylic paper (if you have watercolour paper then this will suffice) OR stretched canvas OR canvas board
- Palette knife
- Tissues or a rag
- Old shirt or apron to wear
