Workshop details
Line and wash is the perfect medium for buildings and associated subjects. It’s perfect when more detail is required and also if you want to produce a more sketchy style of illustration. During this course Colin will teach you the fundamentals and how to progress to more advanced techniques.
This four-part course will begin with introducing to you the best materials to use from paper, paints, brushes, pens, inks and much more. Each week, using photographs as reference, Colin will demonstrate pencil drawing techniques and what to leave out when drawing fairly complex subjects.
You'll be given instructions on inking and Colin will be showing you his varied collection of pens. As the course progresses you’ll move on to watercolour, where you’ll learn many techniques enabling you to feel comfortable and confident.
There will be a different subject every week, so at the end of the course you will have three paintings to proudly show your family and friends.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop:
Equipment & materials list

This list is for guidance only - you can improvise and source your own materials, either in advance or once you have seen the LivePlus™ workshop, giving you maximum flexibility to choose how you would like to approach this craft.
You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching the live demonstration – the demo session is a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
