Workshop Details
This practical, beginner’s guide to watercolour will give you a basic foundation in the ways in which the medium can be used. You will learn about colour mixing and paint application, as well as the best materials to use in helping you produce the most satisfactory results. You will learn about colour theory, and some tips on paint application, together with ways you can avoid some of the pitfalls associated with the medium. You will practice some basic techniques, and learn how to produce certain effects particular to watercolour. There will be practical demonstrations throughout the day, and a chance for you to produce some simple paintings to take home with you.

Materials
Materials are not included in the workshop fee. Some materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £10, payable to the tutor during the course. The items you will need to bring with you are listed below.

We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.
