ArtTalk Details
In this talk, Richard explains the purpose of drawing, for both children and adults alike. The lecture will be illustrated with examples by Western artists, of all ages, throughout history.
Those who claim to be terrified of drawing might be encouraged to have a go, when the focus is removed from the end product and replaced by the excitement of the discovering process.
As John Ruskin explains, “I would rather teach drawing that my pupils may learn to love nature, than teach the looking at nature that they may learn to draw.”
