Wed 10th March 10am - 11:30am (UK time)
This LivePlus™ online workshop is ideal for anyone who is new to crochet or wants to learn more about getting started in the craft.
Workshop details
Discover how to follow a crochet pattern, including pattern abbreviations, English and American terminology (and how to tell the difference), how to hold the hook and yarn, and how to get started on your project.
Following a shop bought pattern, or pattern you have found online, can be really daunting when you are just starting out with crochet. This short bite size session is designed to break down a pattern and explain how to read it with confidence. We will all follow through the same pattern which will be supplied along with the course as a handout.
There will be tutor demonstrations, close ups on stitches and how and where to insert your hook, along with plenty of opportunities for asking questions!
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop
Equipment & materials list
Materials are not included in the course fee. All the materials and equipment you will need are listed in the patterns that will accompany the workshop, but for the class itself you will need:
It would be helpful to have the materials to hand whilst watching the live demonstration, but stitching along is entirely optional – the demo session is mainly a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
