Workshop Details
On this exciting and adventurous workshop, you will be able to extend your skills and techniques involved in Glass Fusing and Slumping. We will make two items (per day if you are booking both sessions). The workshop is project based and the aim is to learn different fusing techniques. It will give you the opportunity to experiment with a variety of fusing ideas and glass materials.

Project: Glass Weaving & Lattice Designs. You will learn techniques to design your own ‘woven’ piece of glass or create a lattice design. This will then be used to form a slumped bowl or platter. Suitable moulds will be discussed and prepared for this process. During this project you will also be able to develop your glass cutting skills.

Project: Glass Fused Mosaic. Design a picture by inlaying small pieces of glass and then grouting it with glass powders to create an intricate and colourful glass ‘painting’. You can either create a small wall hanging or a shallow slumped platter which will involve a second firing.

Skills/Techniques Covered
