This one-day, onsite workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those wishing to refresh.
Workshop Details
This workshop explores the inspiring and varied techniques of Monoprinting, combining processes and materials from Collagraph and Etching. We will be using the etching press to obtain extra richness, detail and character in our prints. Working with a variety of diverse mark-making tools and media to create unique and innovative prints on quality papers, we will also experiment with printing on fabric. We will be working on surfaces such as steel, glass, mountboard and plastic. During the workshop we will also look into rich textures, tactile collage and paper cut-outs.

Materials
Materials are not included in the booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £10, payable to the tutor during the class.
The tutor may not have the facilities to take card payments for materials in the workshops. Please remember to bring cash or your cheque book if your course involves buying materials from the tutor.
Please Bring With You
We advise that you do not buy any materials required for a course more than two weeks in advance, because occasionally a course is cancelled due to low enrolment.

Please Bring With You
- All equipment and materials will be provided by the tutor. The tutor will also provide reference material for you to work from – magazines etc, however it is an option to bring along your own imagery/reference material to the session to work from. This imagery could be photographs, sketches, magazines cuttings etc. We will be working around A6 and A5 size
- Apron
