Materials
Materials are not included in your course fee. Some materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £2 payable to the tutor during the course.
The tutor may not have the facilities to take card payments for materials in the workshops. Please remember to bring cash or your cheque book

- Insight of geometric pattern traditions seen in glorious monuments across the ‘Persian’ region
- Step by step construction of Islamic geometric patterns using compass & straight-edge
- An introduction to analysing historic patterns and ‘correct’ pattern proportioning
- An insight to pattern tessellation principles

- HB and H pencils (ideally mechanical), coloured pencils or felt tips, pencil sharpener and eraser
- Optional A3 sketchbook to draft patterns in (copy paper will be provided)
- Optional notebook for note taking
