This LivePlus™ online workshop is ideal for beginners. No experience necessary - this is a fun and informal workshop for everyone.
Workshop details
Make your own fabulous fabric fish using simple relief printing techniques to create decorative surfaces with foam stamps and found materials. This fun workshop will explore printing on fabric in a variety of ways to create a shoal of fish. We’ll be finishing them off with some decorative stitching and a bit of bling for an iridescent sparkle - ready to show off your ‘catch of the day’!
We will start with some simple techniques for making your own stamps using craft foam, and creating coloured patterned backgrounds on fabric with acrylic paints and printing medium. Then we will move on to decorate and embellish our prints with tiny beads, and metallic & glittery iridescent finishes to create funky fish. A backing of felt, a bit of stuffing and some simple sewing will finish off our shimmering shoal!
You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching the live demonstration – the demo session is a time to watch, ask and learn. After the demo you will be sent a link to the recording, which you can watch as many times as you wish for thirty days.
