Details
In this new workshop, we bring you the opportunity to indulge in two days of self care for your mind and body. The mornings will start with yoga, relaxation and meditation followed by a specially designed healthy lunch, packed with super foods. The afternoon sessions will be for craft and creativity. After lunch on day 1 we will be making a range of personalised skin care products and on day 2 a set of Mala beads for mindfulness and meditation practice.
In every session, we will nourish ourselves with the best of home-produced food and comfort ourselves with the good company of like-minded, non judgemental fellow self-care seekers! This workshop is definitely a no-pressure zone, enabling you to switch off from the stresses of modern life and look after your precious self for a couple of days. These skills can be taken back home with you to help nourish your wellbeing for many years to come.
The morning yoga sessions
The afternoon session on Day 1 (with Yvonne): We will make the following four skin care products to suit your personal skin type, all from essential oils and natural ingredients:
The afternoon session on Day 2 (with Zoe): We will string a set of personalised Mala beads. Mala beads can be stunning pieces of jewellery, usually in the form of necklaces and bracelets, but their meaning and usage has developed and adapted over time. Mala beads are used in prayer and meditation, similar to a rosary, but with mantras for each bead, rather than a prayer. The Mala are meant to help you to remain focused, they do this by being a tactile reminder of what you are meant to be doing – meditating, which brings deep relaxation to the mind and body.

The morning yoga sessions
- Day 1 with Yvonne
- My yoga teaching style combines the concepts of self-care with artistic and psychological safety, so that you can benefit from the same calming influence it will bring to your mind, as well as strength to your body. My preferred style of teaching is Hatha Flow, a moderate and traditional yoga style that includes Prana Yama breathing techniques, an opening warm-up followed by a series of standing, seated and lying down postures and balances. We close each practice with Savasana relaxation, which includes a short shoulder massage with Mandarin essential oil – a perfect end to a full body routine!
- Day 2 with Zoe
- Core Strength Vinyasa (CSV) Yoga is a transitional style of yoga that builds poses from the inside out, and from the ground up. Foundation to Core into Expression. The 4 Fundamental Cues, use biomechanics, physics, and anatomy of the Deep Core Line, to move you in and out of poses with less joint compression and healthier range of motion. This makes asana practice more accessible to all levels of practitioners from beginner to advanced due to the way we build poses from the Earth to the Core, into a unique Expression of each individual.
The afternoon session on Day 1 (with Yvonne): We will make the following four skin care products to suit your personal skin type, all from essential oils and natural ingredients:
- skin toner from herbs, flowers and aloe
- facial or massage oil
- white clay face pack for your personal skin type
- deep moisturising foot balm to care for those precious feet that support us every day
The afternoon session on Day 2 (with Zoe): We will string a set of personalised Mala beads. Mala beads can be stunning pieces of jewellery, usually in the form of necklaces and bracelets, but their meaning and usage has developed and adapted over time.
