Workshop Details
Create a 3D mixed media canvas using recycled textiles, rice paper, embellishments & more!.
You will be using a non-toxic, environmentally friendly medium in a number of different ways to produce your piece of textural art. You will start with your choice of rice paper as the focal point for your canvas, from a selection supplied by the tutor. During the day, you will learn how create background texture, before adding layers of recycled textiles & hand-crafted embellishments to build a truly 3D canvas. Add colour using water soluble bister inks, before washing back & finishing with dry brushing to fully enhance the textures of your art. Please note that this is a messy art, as you will be mixing your own air-drying clay & using fabric hardeners, so old comfortable clothes are advised. This workshop will appeal to mixed media fans to want to add a 3D element to their work.

Materials are not included in your booking fee. All materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £20 payable to the tutor during the day

This class can be messy, so please wear old clothes, tie back long hair & remove rings & bracelets before attending.
