This LivePlus™ online workshop is suitable for those with a basic understanding of cutting a lino plate. You needn't have the materials ready whilst watching this online demonstration – it is a time to watch, ask and learn.
Workshop details
Linoprinting is a great technique to do at home…..easy to learn, minimum equipment and a whole host of variations to experiment with.
After a brief refresher of basic linocutting techniques, we will be using a simple method of registration to allow us to work with reduction cutting. This technique uses a single block of lino, repeatedly cut and inked to create a multicoloured image. You can produce an entire series from a single plate.
We will also look at creating designs to make jigsaw prints. We will cut our plates up into several individual pieces, then ink and reassemble them, allowing us to use multiple colours in one layer….all easy to do with soft-cut lino and a sharp craft knife!
A fun and instructional class suitable for anyone with a basic knowledge of linocutting. Perfect for printing cards & wall art.
Specific skills you will learn at the workshop

Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment.
Tutors will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than one week in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
