Drawn Letters are a useful tool in the lettering and calligraphy toolbox, endlessly adaptable - sometimes when something larger than a pen is required - or when letters are needed with their very own original style; your style!
Mark regularly uses drawn (and painted) letters in his calligraphic compositions and will guide you through this interesting two-part course, beginning with the fundamental basics of creative letter design, then going on to introduce the more creative elements required to do a ‘full original alphabet’.
You will discover all the processes you need to create your own unique alphabet which, ultimately, can be as refined or as imaginative as you choose. The perfect addition to your artistic repertoire - your alphabet can be used to complement your other creative works including calligraphy, sketchbooks, embossing, and more.

All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online class page. Helpful and easy to use, these private pages enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – before, during, and after class.
Mark will offer personal feedback for any work submitted via the class page within thirty days of the class ending. The link to access the page will be shared via email in the days leading up to the class.
