Terms of Service for Onsite Workshops
By making a booking with us, we assume that you have read, understand and accept these terms of service.
Your Booking Fee
The fee covers your tuition. Please note that materials for the workshops are not included in the fee, unless otherwise stated. The approximate cost of materials is given in the detailed information provided for each class on our website and is also available by phone. The full fee is payable on booking. Payment can be made via the website or by phone. Your fee includes VAT (VAT registration no. 174 2649 91) and a non-refundable booking fee of 1.5%.
Cancellation Policy
Our cancellation policy is designed to give customers some freedom to change a booking, but we have conditions around cancellations which have an impact on other customers and our business. Please familiarise yourself with our terms of cancellation below before booking your workshop.
Cancellation by Student
Group bookings require payment of a non-refundable deposit.
Transfers
You can transfer your place on a workshop to another person at any point before the class starts, or you can transfer to another class of your choice in the current calendar year, subject to availability, up to one calendar month before the start of the workshop for which you originally booked, at no extra charge (unless the new class has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference).
Should you need to cancel or transfer less than one calendar month before the start of a workshop, your fee cannot be transferred to another workshop. Our cancellation policy applies.
Please note:
In the interests of fairness, this policy applies equally to all Ardington students, regardless of circumstances. No exceptions will be made. If this is of concern to you, you might like to consider cancellation insurance, but do check your home insurance policy first as this eventuality may well be covered.
Cancellation by Ardington
Occasionally we may need to cancel a workshop due to low enrolment. We will give you at least two weeks notice where possible. If your class is cancelled you can transfer to another workshop, subject to availability, at no extra charge, (unless the new class has a higher cost in which case you will need to pay any difference). Alternatively, we will refund your fee in full. If we need to cancel for any other reason, such as tutor illness, you will receive a full refund of your fee and be given as much notice as possible in the circumstances. If you paid using gift vouchers, these will be reinstated.
In the event of cancellation, the school will not reimburse for materials bought or travel or accommodation arrangements made.
Under 18s
Please note that our workshops are designed for adults. We cannot accept bookings for people under the age of 18 without prior approval - please call for details.
Change of Workshop Content or Tutor
Every effort will be made by the school to run classes as advertised. However, there may be occasions when the school has to change the workshop detail and/or tutors. If this should happen, the school reserves the right to make these changes; no reductions or refunds are available and our cancellation policy applies
Our Food & Special Diets
For all our workshops, fresh ground coffee, a range of teas, and water are provided throughout the day, along with biscuits and cookies in the morning, a complimentary sandwich lunch and homemade cakes in the afternoon.
As peoples’ allergies, intolerances, special diets and preferences are so many and varied, we are not able to cater for these. However, we are able to offer a gluten free option so please tell us on arrival if you need the gluten free option. We advise people with special dietary needs/preferences to bring their own sandwiches/snacks to supplement those provided, if necessary.
Gift Cards
The Ardington Gift Card can be purchased through the website or over the phone. They have no expiry date and cannot be exchanged for cash. No refund can be given for unwanted or unused Gift Cards.
Photographs
On occasion we will take photographs of work produced in classes for promotional use on the website and in advertising. If you would rather we didn't use the photographs please tell us when you are at the school. Every effort is made not to get people in such photographs, unless explicit permission is given in advance.
