Workshop details
Join us at Sketchbook Club 2 for four more weeks of creating, collecting, experimenting and exploring! Everyone is welcome. There is no need for you to have done sketchbook club 1 first, and this second series will include lots of new ideas and techniques.
Sketchbooks can sometimes feel a bit daunting and so, in this relaxed and informal series of workshops, Janina and Karen will help get you started and inspire you to keep going. A sketchbook is a safe place to try out ideas, make a visual record, store notes and reference, and most of all to play…..without the pressure of a finished piece of work, a sketchbook is the perfect place to snatch small moments of creative time for yourself.
As well as the plentiful demos and exercises each week Janina and Karen will also give you a glimpse into their own sketchbooks – the good, the bad and the ugly! Each session will include a work along element as well as some demonstrations for you to watch and try later.
This series our theme will be Spring, and the series will be structured as follows:
Week 1: Watercolours and Pocket Books with Karen
Week 4: Sensational Stamping with Janina
The classes are a little longer in weeks 2, 3 & 4 to allow for an additional 20 minutes of sharing, collaboration and feedback from Karen and Janina on work from previous weeks.

Additional Information
All Ardington ONLINE classes and talks are accompanied by their own online blackboard. Helpful and easy to use, they enable students and tutors to share resources, ideas and photos with each other – just as you would in a classroom environment. With this class, you will also have access to our Virtual Sketchbook board which brings together students from previous sketchbook clubs and will remain open indefinitely as a place to share and collaborate throughout the year.
Tutors will offer personalised critique / feedback via the blackboard for any work uploaded by students within thirty days of the class ending. You will be sent the link to access your blackboard in the week before your class begins and will have access for at least sixty days after the class ends.
After the live session has finished on Zoom, we will share the link to view the recording on the blackboard. You can watch the recording as many times as you like for sixty days.
We suggest that you do not buy any specialist materials more than one week in advance as, occasionally, a class may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
