This class is suitable for those with some experience of creating drawn letters.
Join Heather Held for an Advanced Alphabet Garden class as she shows you how to chase opulence in your illuminated letters in this beautiful three-part course.
Over the course of the sessions, you will expand your knowledge of Lombardic letters and other styles that are perfect for ornamental designs. You will learn how to add inlay patterns to the letters, stylize their forms, add intricate rinceau extensions and pen flourished filigree. Your final letter designs can extend into full borders to augment your calligraphic work.
You will learn how to draw, ink, gild, and paint these beautiful letters while expanding your skills with these intriguing designs. All skill levels are welcome, but the class will assume some experience in drawing letters as you take your Lombardic letters to a higher level. If you have attended an Alphabet Garden class with Heather before, this is the perfect class for you!
