The final part of our 'A Year on the Coast' series, brought to you by Karen Carter, celebrates British coastal birds in all their glory from the ubiquitous seagull to a perky puffin! 
 

As this year long series comes to an end, we will play with a simple printing technique using kids craft foam and the lovely, layered technique of Pochoir - just a posh French word for stencilling - it mimics screenprinting, but without the mess!  You can do both these methods at home with basic materials and create your own flock of beautiful bird prints.
 

You can work along with Karen during some parts of the sessions or follow the demos in your own time.  No experience needed – just a willingness to explore and experiment (and maybe your bathing suit and a sunhat! Ha ha!)
