This class is suitable for students of all abilities. Previous drawing experience would be helpful but not necessary.
In this mixed media project we will be painting birds in an expressive style, using watercolours, colouring pencils and pen and ink.
We will be focusing on capturing the beauty and character of the birds, by starting with a quick study and then using a loose dynamic approach to painting. We will also delve into more detailed techniques such as painting individual feathers and adding texture and other details. We will then complete the composition by adding text and floral details in the background.
