This class is a complete immersion into bold colours and creating decorative patterns to fill a concertina book. You can either purchase a concertina book to work in or, better still, use one you made at Janina's concertina book class on 11th September.
We will start by blocking in some background colours directly into the sketchbook. While this is drying we will do some short exercises to generate ideas for filling the sketchbook, including motifs, patterns and doodles. We will also prepare some pages to use for collage, as well as cutting a few simple stencil shapes.
After that the fun really begins as we start to fill the pages with painted shapes, collaged motifs and then adding more details with pens, crayons, pencils and pastels.
