Wellbeing work-alongs are the perfect opportunity to take the pressure off, slow down, and indulge in a bit of ‘you’ time. These stripped back sessions are a step away from our traditional jam-packed classes; there'll be no handouts and, more importantly, no homework!
Gather a collection of autumn leaves from your garden or local park to create a selection of prints, masks and rubbings to make the pages of a simple folded book. There will be colour mixing demos and some easy techniques using tube watercolour, gouache, or acrylics – or you can even use little ink pads for the ultimate ‘no mess’ printing method! We will work on a variety of coloured papers – whatever you have – cutting, sticking and layering to make a lovely reference book of autumn.
You can work along with Karen at a gentle pace. Follow along step-by-step or use your own creative freedom to incorporate the materials and methods Karen demonstrates - the choice is completely yours. You might not finish the entire project in the time we have, but you'll have all the skills you need to finish off in your own time.
