This class is suitable for those with some experience of working in watercolour
In this festive class, we will be learning how to paint and draw Christmas Poinsettia. Jan will demonstrate how to observe your subject, then draw and paint confidently, using fresh clean watercolour. We will consider the technique of wet-into-wet, wet into dry, and learn how to build colour to give rich details to the study. We will also explore the art of creating soft shadows to give light and clarity to your work.
The class will include the use of masking fluid in appropriate areas and how to lift colour. We will investigate ways of mixing really good reds, pinks, and greens, which are often difficult, to enhance the chosen flower when adding leaves and stems.
This online class will be informative, fun, rewarding, and enjoyable.
