This class is suitable for students of all abilities
In this two- part workshop with lettering artist Mark L'Argent, we'll start off by familiarising ourselves with ancient Scandinavian Runes. You will learn a little of their history and background and understand how they are written.
Then, taking inspiration from these ancient letterforms, Mark will demonstrate how to use basic monoline tools to shape and mold them into the 26 letters of our Roman alphabet. As you can see from the image above, some letters already exist to help us get started!
If time allows Mark will show you some layout idea and formats; all the inspiration you need to to create your own unique Runic masterpieces.
