In this engaging and supportive workshop, you will explore a variety of soft pastel techniques while creating your own atmospheric windmill painting inspired by the serene, timeless beauty of the Norfolk landscape. The scene captures the quiet mood of early morning light, with soft colours and gentle textures that bring the countryside to life.

 

Throughout the session, Clive will work on his own demonstration piece, guiding you step by step through the creative process. He will explain each stage clearly—from the initial sketch to the final finishing touches—while providing plenty of individual guidance, practical tips, and encouragement to help you build confidence and achieve satisfying results.

 

Whether you are refining existing skills or looking to expand your artistic approach, this workshop offers a relaxed and enjoyable opportunity to deepen your understanding of soft pastels and landscape painting.

• The tutor will provide Pastelmat paper at a cost of £2.50 per sheet.
