Join this inspiring workshop to create a pastel painting that captures the essence of Springtime — longer, warmer days and the awakening countryside. You’ll explore a variety of soft pastel techniques and learn how to layer colour to beautifully express the season’s vibrant tones and delicate light.

Throughout the session, Clive will work on his own piece, demonstrating each stage of development while offering plenty of individual guidance and support.

• Understanding different types of pastels and their effects

• Layering and blending for depth and richness

• Blocking in shapes and tones

• Creating smooth and textured finishes

 

Materials

• Materials are not included in the booking fee.

• The tutor will provide Pastelmat paper at £2.50 per sheet.

• A limited range of specialist pastel colours (not usually found in starter sets) will also be available to purchase on the day.

• Please note: the tutor may not be able to accept card payments, so remember to bring cash or a cheque book for any additional materials.
