This course forms part of our STUDY programme; a range of longer courses, running over a number of weeks, exploring our most popular subjects in greater depth.  Combining tutor-led live classes with elements of self-study, these courses are designed to stretch and challenge you, whilst maintaining the small & friendly learning environment we are known for.
 

Drawing with Colour is a seven-week series designed to help artists of all levels master the fundamentals of using colour in their artwork.  Each session explores essential topics such as colour theory, sketching, using cool and warm colours, while encouraging individual creativity and personal expression.
 

Guided by Jonathan, students will engage in live demonstrations, interactive exercises, and receive constructive feedback on their work. The course will cover:

• Basic colour theory, the colour wheel, warm and cool colours
• Landscapes using complimentary colours
• Sketching, including cross hatching with different colours
• Still life with fruit
• Still life with flowers
• Sketching buildings using perspective, contrast, and shadow
• Buildings in winter using a limited palette 
   

By the end of the course, students will have gained confidence and skill in creating vibrant, expressive, and harmonious drawings.
