This workshop is suitable for those with some experience and at intermediate level.
Do you have a favourite coastline or beach - would you like to create the view using textiles and stitch? - then this may be the class for you. Join Sarah for this two-day workshop and learn to combine paint and fabrics, together with further embellishment to create a beautiful coastal landscape.
Skills / Techniques Covered
We will use acrylics to create your sky and then using a number of different textiles and various stitching techniques – straight stitching and free motion machine embroidery - you will create your beach/coast/seascape and the further embellish the pieces with hand stitching, embroidery and beads. You will create either a long portrait version or a wide narrow landscape.
Materials are not included in the booking fee. Some materials will be provided by the tutor. The approximate cost of these will be £15, payable to the tutor during the workshop. A mount will also be provided and it may be possible to purchase a frame for your work from the tutor on the day.
