In this four-part workshop we will explore ways of painting flowers in watercolour. In week one, we’ll talk about how to apply paint to paper, creating a series of small painted squares using a variety of watercolour techniques. We’ll also discuss the type of paper you might use for various projects.
Each week after that, we’ll paint a flower or leaf. We’ll look at colour mixing, glazes, optical mixing and the use of light and shade to make our flowers look three dimensional.
This isn’t a formal course on botanically accurate art - artistic interpretations are welcome!
