Explore the art of weaving in harmony with nature in this creative, hands-on workshop. You will learn simple off-loom techniques using natural yarns, found objects, and foraged materials. Through colour, texture, and intuitive experimentation, you will create meaningful woven pieces that reflect your personal connection to the natural world.Projects Covered
1. Off-Loom Weaving Around Natural Objects
- Create a woven artwork inside a shell or around a wooden disc. Use different yarns and textures to respond to the natural shape of your chosen object and develop a unique nature-inspired piece.
2. Preserve a Treasured Object with 2D Paper Weaving
- Use khadi paper and natural yarns to weave around a foraged leaf or personal keepsake. This gentle process frames and protects your chosen object while creating a delicate paper-based composition.
3. Seasonal Yarn Wrapping
- Capture the colours and textures of the season by combining natural yarns with foraged foliage. Explore simple weaving and expressive wrapping techniques to create a piece that reflects your experience of the changing seasons.

Materials are not included in the booking fee. The tutor will supply all materials. The approximate cost of these will be £20, payable to the tutor during the workshop
