Inspired by Karen's love of both creating things AND growing things, this fantastic series is made up of twelve classes, split across the four seasons. The series, which started in March 2025, chronicles and celebrates a year in the garden.
Whether you have an allotment, garden, balcony, or window box, the classes are designed to help you create a lovely visual journal full of drawings, doodles, prints, painting, lists, and lettering. Each month you will add to your sketchbook (using a variety of techniques and building a library of skills) whilst creating a beautiful record of the changing seasons.
‘Autumn is a time of rich earthy hues as the trees take on shades of red and gold and seedheads, with their beautiful structural shapes, add a subtle palette of ochres and umbers replacing the bright colours of summer. The hedgerows are full of hips, hoars and berries, and there’s an abundance of seasonal fruit (who doesn’t love an apple and blackberry crumble!).
So, break out your hats and scarves, embrace the crisp days of autumn and forage for inspiration as we celebrate the turning of the year!’
