Wild Colour: Botanical Dye & Weave
Sat 18th April
10am - 4pm
Tutor: Joanne Lamb
In this creative, sensory workshop, you’ll invite the hidden hues of blossoms, petals, and kitchen botanicals into cloth through the eco-friendly art of bundle dyeing. Your hand-dyed fabric will then be paired with paper and raffia yarns as you learn the expressive, organic rhythm of random-weave basketry.
Together, these elements will become a one-of-a-kind vessel—part keepsake, part celebration of nature’s warmth and renewal. Using moulds, we’ll intertwine yarns and your hand-dyed fabric to form open-weave basket structures: vessels designed to gently catch and hold Spring’s first light.
