This ONLINE class is suitable for students of all abilities

Building on your understanding of basic perspective and simple architectural forms, we will explore the next steps to developing an expressive approach to drawing and painting buildings. 
 

This class is all about enriching your images with atmosphere and mood to highlight your main interest or experience of the building.  We'll explore collage and paint techniques, using a range of media, to develop creative compositions of buildings in different contexts, environments, and from different view points.  
 

Ahead of the class, we ask you to collect reference images - photos and sketches of remembered, experienced and imagined places - to draw from.  Then in class we will use them to make compositions and learn how to express your observations.
