This class is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. If you are someone who loves the process of 'Art Journalling' or working in a sketchbook, this is the ideal class for you.
Inspired by pottery collected on her travels, Sai will be teaching us how to capture the tactile surface and comforting shapes of rustic pots in watercolour. We're moving away from 'perfect' and celebrating the nature of handmade as we look at textures, colour, and form.
Whether you're looking at your own favourite pot or working from the reference photo provided, we'll start off sketching lightly in pencil. Then we'll use wet-on-dry watercolour techniques to add pattern and colour. The highlights and finishing details of this wonderful sketchbook project will be added with white pen.
